How to make a gift box?

When you choose a gift for your friend, partner, baby or lovers, the packing box is very important. Maybe you want to do the gift box by yourself. There are some different ideas for your reference, how to make a gift box by yourself ?

Give them a gift with a presentation as special as the contents. With these simple gift box ideas you can create unique gift boxes that are sure to delight.

How to make a wedding gift box?

Wedding Gift Box

Supplies:

Spool of White Tulle– about 6 feet

Small square folding white gift box

2 Wedding sticker packs, with border strips and corners

1 piece of white card stock for tag, large enough to fit sticker of your choice

8" of sheer 1/8" ivory ribbon

1/8" hole punch

Scissors

Assemble box and place gift in with tissue paper. Stick corner stickers on all 4 corners of top. Make a design on front of box with stickers, leaving room for top and bottom borders. Put borders all around top and bottom of box, trimming to fit. Starting on top, wrap tulle around box 1 way, make ½ twist, and wrap around box the other way, ending on top. Tie a large bow and trim ends. Put a large sticker on the white cardstock and trim. Punch a hole in edge and thread small ribbon through. Tie onto bow for tag.

 

How to make a blue polka dot gift box?

Small white gift box

White acrylic craft paint

Light blue acrylic craft paint

4 flower buttons

Craft glue

Paintbrush

Wire snips or heavy-duty scissors – (if using buttons with shanks, snip them off)

Dip paint brush into blue and white paint at same time and paint box so that it has streaks, all going same direction. Let dry. With back end of paintbrush, make dip dots all over box. Let dry. If your buttons have shanks, snip them off. Glue buttons on box in desired design.

5 wooden plugs – ½"

Antiqueing gel

Scissors

Stick the stickers all over box in pleasing design. Trim any overhang. Glue 1 wood plug on top for a handle and 4 on bottom for feet. Let dry. Rub antique gel where desired, covering knob and feet, and rub off. Since the surface is paper, you will have to be careful not to use too much antique gel on the stickers, it will soak in and get darker than expected.

Supplies:

Small white gift box

Gold metallic acrylic craft paint

Silver metallic acrylic craft paint

Adhesive

Metal corners

Paintbrush

Paint box gold. Let dry. Paint edges of lid with silver as shown. Let dry. Glue metal pieces on, let dry.

How to make a emboosed swirl gift box?

Embossed Swirl Gift Box

Supplies:
Brown craft paper

Small gift boxes , folding square white gift box

1 ½" and 2" swirl stamp

Clear embossing ink pad

Purple metallic embossing powder

Embossing gun

Tape

Scissors

Raffia – about 4 feet

Cut a piece of brown craft paper large enough to wrap the box. Stamp swirls randomly across paper with clear embossing ink, doing just 2 or 3 at a time so that the ink doesn’t dry. Immediately sprinkle purple embossing powder on wet ink and emboss with the embossing gun. Repeat over all of paper with random design. Wrap present and tie raffia bow around

How to make a beaded gift box?

Beaded Gift Box

Supplies:

Small white gift box

Double-sided tape sheet

Light blue micro bead mix

Light blue oval ½" rhinestone

Scissors

Small bowl or container that the box lid will fit in

Cover box lid with tape sheet, trimming edges. Pull off protective paper. Press oval rhinestone in center of lid. Pour micro bead mix into bowl, press lid into beads and press beads into tape sheet.. Sprinkle beads over lid to fill in holes and keep sprinkling and pressing and rubbing beads into lid until it is completely covered and they are all stuck well.

How to do a gold box with beaded fruit?

Supplies:

Gold toned brown craft paper – enough to cover box

Tape

Scissors

Spool of magenta tulle

Floral pick with beaded fruit

Hot glue

Wrap the gift. Tie tulle around box as shown and make a large fluffy bow on top. Trim ends. Trim floral pick if necessary. Hot glue pick in center of bow.

How to make a floral stenciled box?

Floral Stenciled Box

Supplies:

White gift box

Floral background stencil

Stencil adhesive

Blue acrylic craft paint

4-5 yards of 1" wide blue sheer ribbon

1" sponge brush

Lay stencil at an angle across box top. Press down lightly to make sure all edges are sealed. Fill brush with paint and dab most off so that it is not drippy, and not too full of paint. Dab brush all over stencil, making sure to fill in all spaces, do not go over edge. Let dry several minutes. Lift stencil off, match design on one edge and press down again. Repeat stenciling and let dry. Continue around box, matching design each time you move the stencil. Make sure that the design is dry enough before you move to the next section so you don’t smear the design. Let box dry completely. Wrap ribbon around as shown and tie in a big fluffy bow on top.
